Who discovered Saturn?
People have been looking at Saturn since prehistoric times, so we don't know who the first person was to "discover" it.
It's actually hard to think about what discovering a planet like Saturn even means. Ancient people would have noticed that planets move differently through our night sky, but they didn't know what stars or planets really are. It took a long time for people to understand how the Solar System works. It's been a group effort—humans have discovered the true nature of Saturn over thousands of years.
It wasn't until the 17th century that the rings of Saturn were discovered.
