Proof that the Earth is Round
Here are a few simple proofs that the Earth is spherical in shape...
The positions of stars in the sky do not match any flat-earth model. Flat-earthers are unable to create a map of the sky that matches any version of the flat-earth theory. The only map that works is a sphere.
The Sun and Moon never change apparent size or angular velocity as they move across the sky. On a flat earth, they would appear to shrink and slow down as they moved into the distance (see perspective and atmospheric lensing).
Flat-earthers claim that the Sun and Moon never rise or set. This can be disproven by simply looking at them rising and setting (in the case of the Sun you'll need a solar viewing filter). If you're still not convinced, you can watch the shadow of the horizon move up a mountain at sunset, proving that the Sun is indeed setting below the horizon. The Belt of Venus (a phenomenon that lets you see Earth's shadow in the sky) also supports the round-earth but has no flat-earth explanation.
When it is summer at either of the poles, you can see the Sun all day long. This does not fit with any flat-earth model, only a globe Earth.
Tides are perfectly correlated with the positions of the Sun and Moon. This is only possible with gravity but flat-earthers deny that gravity exists.
The round-earth theory can predict and explain the exact times and shapes of eclipses. No flat-earth theory can do this.
It takes longer to fly from New Zealand to Canada than it does from New Zealand to Argentina. No flat-earth map can explain this.
Despite claims by flat-earthers, it is possible for anyone to visit and travel across Antarctica.
Large human-made structures have to account for the Earth's curvature.
